Detective Benny Griessel is on the verge of apprehending top Cape Town crime boss Madison Madikiza.

Benny leads the hunt for the killer, but a drink-fueled personal crisis threatens his new position. Thobela visits a grieving mother also failed by the justice system and pledges to find who abducted her son.

Benny investigates Reyneke's murder, putting him in grave danger from an unexpected source, while Thobela tracks down Madikiza. A young woman, Christine van Rooyen, catches the eye of a controlling businessman.

Christine plots her escape but returns home to find that her daughter Sonya has been kidnapped. Benny and Anna come together in the search for the lost child.
