| When I heard that the director and cast of High School Musical were going to be going way more over the top and "kick it up a notch" I was a little worried because I didn't want everyone to try to hard and overdo it. But obviously "over the top" worked wonderfully in High School Musical 2, the sequel the to the ever-so-popular first. First of all, the songs were amazing and the acting and dancing were great. You could really tell that everyone in the cast improved vocally and acting-wise. What I loved about the characters (troy, gabriella, sharpay, ryan, chad, taylor) is that they showed more depth, you got to know them a lot more and understand them. Moreso Ryan than anyone else *wink*wink*. Many people haven't mentioned this but the cinematography is outstanding. The whole movie, along with everyone in it, looks so gorgeous, so colorful and bright. Younger kids will definitely love it. Although there probably won't be another dance-along, I really don't think anyone will care. High School Musical 2 is wonderful and without a doubt, the best movie Disney channel has ever made. I give it 5 stars. |
