Invincible movie comments

I came in expecting very little from Marky mark and his Dirk Diggler hair style, but when I left the theatre I was happy with the end product. My family lived in South Philly at the time and told me stories about how bad things were in Philly for people. The Eagles teams were just as bad. The Eagles were all that some people had. This story just isn't about Vince Papale (who was the average working man in a working class city) but the man who had faith in him and a terrible franchise (at the time). Dick Vermeil was a good coach and a great motivator and he guided the team to the super bowl. The film's style seemed to be just like the neighborhood in which Papale was raised, no glitz or glamour, just working class men and women doing what they can. The film is not as good as Rudy, but Rudy was working for something he wanted to do his whole life and lived with people who doubted him. Vince had wonderful friends that wanted him to try to be great. I am a sports nut and thought that the characters were portrayed true to life. This movie is not as good as Rudy but just as good as miracle. I had heard about this movie on The Jim Rome radio show and thought it was an excellent story, Papale is a very nice man who lived a dream.
